there's something about herfy

Today is the last day of Ramadhan in Bahrain. That means after today no more Herfy's Chicken Combo. Herfy is a 'fast food' chain restaurant from Saudi Arabia. Called fast food restaurant still need to wait 15-20 minutes every time we order. Somemore it's printed on their take-away paper bags 'Cholesterol Free'. Yah Herfy, you are giving away free cholesterol with your meals. Anyway, free or no free cholesterol, Herfy's has a very good deal in the form of it Ramadhan Chicken Combo. Four pieces of fried chickens, one regular fries and a carbonated drink. All for 1BD (RM10). Good deal huh? At least my Muslim friend here thinks so, he has been buying this meal almost everyday since Ramadhan started. Frankly it is a good deal, as an average dinner in Bahrain costs 1.5BD. Don't know whether he can stand any more chicken meal after this. The next three days will be filled with lots of food and visiting around. Tomorrow's first destination will be the Malaysian Embassy. Yeah, nasi lemak and rendang, here i come!!

Selamat Hari Raya Aidil Fitri

all the musical notes are here

This post is long overdue.... Still, I should wish all my friends and myself 'Happy Convocation!" Finally our labours for 5 years have paid off with 50 seconds on the ceremonial stage, and by the time we walked down the stairs we have entered a new phase in our lives. The working adult phase. Some people call it the shitty phase. Shitty or not, gone were the days when we would force ourselves to stay awake the whole night to finish up last-minute assignments, bringing study notes to mamak stores even though we knew we will not read them, insomnia due to final year project stress, and ya, resorting to all kinds of methods to get good results in tests. So people, we deserve to graduate with 'honours', we have gone through so much right? All the best in the future, keep in touch!

bird-day pics

My colleagues are so nice. I received chocolates for my birthday, treated to authentic Thai food (in Bahrain!), and a surprise cake! The whole office was there to celebrate with me. Thank you guys for celebrating my bird-day with me... =)

it's the B-Day again..

...15 October, I love you!
This is the first time I am celebrating my birthday in some distant land. Hopefully the Arabian moon can be seen tonight. Lately clouds have been forming in the usually cloudless sky here. You wouldn't believe it until you see it, the Arabian moon is really huge! It's almost surreal, and you can certainly be sure that it was under the same moon that the tales of the 1001 Arabian Nights were told hundreds of years ago....
So tonight, under the same moon, it's 'Happy Birthday' to myself, and my thoughts with all of you who remembered and sent me greetings from far away. Love you all!
