homemaker

For the past few days I was being such a pig. Felt so lazy to do anything. So this afternoon I decided that if I should start to do anything, it would be from my room first. So, I put my brand new Singer Aquatech vacuum cleaner that I won the other day to use. Man, I felt like a homemaker d just by holding the thing. Surprisingly, I couldn't find the manual anywhere in the box. I decided that I can let do without the manual and just follow my 'homemaker' instinct on how to operate the vacuum cleaner. It started off fine, but I felt that the suction power is very weak. And there's no button to control it. My 'homemaker' instinct told me that it was meant this way so that heavier objects such as coins won't get sucked into the machine. Fine. Half an hour later I was done, and my room felt cleaner. At least to me. So when I tried to put the vacuum cleaner away, something just fell off it. A piece a paper. Darn. No wonder the suction power was so weak, the manual was blocking the airway all the while. I'm not that sure that my room really feel any cleaner now.

feeling lucky

I was having my nap yesterday evening when my handphone rang. It was the Star people. The guy told me that I have won a prize in the recent Malaysia, My Home National Day contest. Woohoo!! Even though it's just the consolation prize, haha... Will be getting some Gintell and Singer products, hmm, can let my parents use them. Now I realized that actually I have won quite a number of times in contests organized by the Star newspaper. Complementary movie passes for at least three movies, two LOTR contests and now this. But I never claimed my movie tickets. Hoping to grab a grand prize in the future, haha. The prize-giving ceremony for the LOTR: Return of the King contest was a memorable one. The winners got to tour the then newly-opened Royal Selangor Visitor Centre and participate in their School of Hard Knocks. Too bad the pics I took then were gone together with my old hard disk. So.... remember back up your files!

family gathering

Family gathering over the weekend at Jasmine's place. The last time the five of us; my father, mother, sister, brother and I, were together was during the Chinese New Year. It is getting harder and harder for everyone to gather together, so every little opportunities that come by must be really cherished. My parents brought over the photos of what they have been doing for the past few months, I brought over my pics, and we exchanged news and stories over these pictures. And of course, they brought over food, specialty 'kong piang', biscuits, mangoes (lots and lots of mangoes in along their way, no wonder), etc etc. At night it was like a slumber party, all packed in one room and chatting into the night. I know that most parents who came visiting will probably stay in a hotel. My parents never do so, but our little slumber party was just what we needed to make up for the lost time spent apart.

tired

I just sat for my Foundation Engineering test this afternoon. I feel extremely tired right now. In fact I have been feeling tired for the past few days. My body was like a running machine, internally combusting, and my complexion was flushed.
I didn't become like this because of stress over studies. I have figured out some time ago that those things were not that important for me anymore. It is all the rest. I don't need to say much about the details. I feel at lost now, hardly any energy left to carry on.
I'm not tired of life, just that I am disappointed with it. Aih~
